Gosau at the foot of Mount Dachstein is a valley surrounded by imposing mountains and dense woodland in the heart of the Salzkammergut. At the end of the valley you can marvel at the pristine beauty of the Dachstein glacier which serves as a scenic backdrop to the Gosau lakes. The Gosau valley itself abounds with so many places worth visiting that one need not step foot outside of it at all; nonetheless, we are pleased to recommend excursions into the neighbouring towns of Hallstatt, Bad Ischl, St. Wolfgang, or into the Styrian Ausseerland.

The self-contained accommodation with a size of 60m2 offers space for 4 people and is situated on the second floor.

WINTER IN GOSAU
In Gosau lies the biggest ski region of Upper Austria – Dachstein West. The ski bus stops in the immediate vicinity and you can enjoy dreamy slopes within a few minutes’ drive. Far off the busy ski slopes and starting directly from our house, you can embark on beautiful ski tours and snowshoeing trips. The cross-country skiing trail runs through the entire Gosau valley.
SUMMER IN GOSAU
Our house is your starting point for extended walking-tours, mountain hikes and bicycle tours. Immediately nearby there are numerous climbing tours and fixed rope routes to explore. Swimming in the crystal-clear lakes of the Salzkammergut is the ultimate holiday experience.
HOLIDAYING WITH FRIENDS
My parents had been welcoming guests for as long as I can remember and this has led to many positive childhood memories for me. There was always something going on inside the house and I was even permitted to go on trips with our long-standing guests, many of which continue to be friends of our family to this day. After renovations have finally been completed, we are overjoyed to once more welcome many exciting guests into our house.
